Lisa Situ, PhD
Lisa Situ is an Assistant Editor of Cancer Discovery. Lisa received her PhD in Biological and Biomedical Sciences from Harvard University, where she researched combinatorial strategies to target NRAS-mutant melanoma and developed expertise in integrating functional genetic approaches with epigenetic and transcriptomic analyses in the laboratory of Dr. Karen Cichowski. She completed her undergraduate degree in Molecular, Cell, and Developmental Biology at the University of California, Los Angeles, where she trained in the laboratory of Dr. Heather Christofk and studied the mechanisms by which viruses reprogram host cell metabolism. Prior to joining the AACR in 2024, she was a freelance science writer for Cancer Discovery.
